"Annie Cat". Present from our daughter Tina. On various occasions Annie is regal, inquisitive, patient, haughty, demanding, worried, cautious, ... Her vet says her DNA is not too far removed from the jungle, no matter how nice she is on occasion. Her surprising snarl will stop the brave of heart every time and sounds like some jungle cat. However, this time she is patiently posing for her portrait. |

Portrait by Peggy. Watercolor on 300lb cold press. Annie will always be with us.

Although Annie refuses to go outside except in her travel cage, she keeps a sharp eye on the neighborhood. Especially if some other animal strays into her space. Mostly she watches the birds feed in the back yard.

Foggy, cold, foreboding. The stuff of photos that must be taken.

Nature's Mirror, a still pond.

The Christmas Cactus blooms when it want to, and does not announce it's presence. Just be there when it decides to appear.

Traveling home from Fort Carson, this sunrise greeted us a few miles south of Denver. It was nearly missed altogether, as it only lasted a couple of minutes. |
The Crocus, first flower after winter. |
An old rock church, below an old rock cliff. |
"King Of The Rail" This noisy fellow was announcing his claim to the wooden rail surrounding the cafe patio. Canon Elan-7, |
"Living In A Crack" Some people are said to be "living on the edge". This fellow is living in a crack. |
One of our favorite places. Canon Elan-7 |
This Morning Glory volunteered to wind around a tomato plant. Each morning as the sun came up, its light hit the bottom of the flower and looked like a brilliant little light was in the bottom of the Morning Glory.

"Nature's Artist" My wife saw this about 50ft off the roadway as we were driving along. We backed up to see what she had discovered, and what a treat! After taking this photo we came back the next day to try for a better shot, but the wind had taken all the sand away again. A once-in-a-lifetime shot. canon Elan-t |
An old mine far off the roadway, with no trespass signes all over the place. The Canon Elan-7 with a 75-300 lens at f-11 took this shot using Fuji 100 film

Still water often affords interesting shots that can be enjoyed later when the weather is turbulent.

We were traveling south through Idaho in partly cloudy weather when we started to go under this dramatic cloud bank. Massive and forboding in the direction we were headed, it required a stop for a quick shot. Fuji Finepix 2650, set automatic, 2mp setting. |
Early morning on the "Salt Marsh" found these swans getting ready for their day. Canon Elan-7, 75-300 set at 300 with a Kenko 3x, using Fuji 100. |

One of my favorite shooters, Voigtlander Bessa-I Medium Format 4x6/6x9, 105 lens. It's little brother, the Vito-IIa, accompanied me all over the south pacific and far east. Some day I'll sort out all the thousands of slides that one took for me. Medium Format is used with the flash when necessary, and always with the light meter. One of the more interesting cameras for possibilities in both portraiture, landscapes and very large prints as well as posters. for this one, you buy the pro-grade films and have the shots developed at your favorite commercial lab.
